Our operation pollutes like crazy!

polluted skylineAt a time when corporate greenwashing is as ubiquitous as mouthwash, international shipper First Global Xpress takes a refreshingly candid, open and authentic approach to greening the company.

The company is asking the world to help keep it honest as it attempts to reduce its carbon footprint by 66% before year's end.

Are you paying attention, FedEx, UPS?

For fun I used our (Atomic Intelligence's) new tool for measuring share of search results on this example. Despite the fact that FedEx occurs in many millions of web pages, it is mentioned with the collection of keywords (green carbon shipping service) in only 33K pages compared with 72K pages for Global XPress (approx. figures). Furthermore, when a page contains these words, Global XPress is also mentioned over 30% of the time.

Here's the link for the first set of results:

Continuing the blatant plug, AtomicIQ is mainly focused on news analytics -- for PR, it's a quick and easy way of generating share of voice and client-competitor comparative charts. Feel free to give it a spin at http://AtomicIQ.com
